Commissioning a piece by Gilly is a very simple process. Gilly will work from photos for your portrait meaning that there is no need to travel for your commission to begin. A good range of photos will enable her to create a beautiful drawing. All you have to do it get in touch with Gilly – it's that easy.

Take Photos

Take photos that capture the subject's personality and character well. The chosen photo (or in some cases, photos) are very important in the process, so please choose wisely. Gilly’s expertise lies in interpreting and reproducing your photo and establishing the characteristics and personality of individual subjects.
Contact Gilly

Once you have taken your photos, the next step is to contact Gilly. You can do this by clicking here, or my messaging her on Facebook. Please forward any photos you have at a good resolution so that she can establish which photos will be the best to work with.
Payment

Gilly can send an electronic invoice to you via Paypal, which accepts all debit/credit cards (you do not need to have a Paypal account). Cash or cheque can also be accepted if you are collecting your piece or if a meeting has been organised.

Commissioning Notes

Timing (Client List)

Gilly works on a first come, first served basis and she always has a client list (i.e. a number of clients waiting for commissioned pieces). Waiting times for drawings depend on how busy she is at any given time, but she will always be able to give you an approximate completion date. If you have a particular deadline for a piece, for example someone’s birthday, Gilly will always try her absolute best to accommodate you. Gift vouchers can also be purchased for those who would like to give a portrait as a gift for a special date.
Bespoke Framing

A full framing service is provided for all artworks. If you are unable to collect, and are interested in a framed portrait, please mention this when you enquire, so that Gilly may provide prices for postage and packaging.
